Join the Certificate of Graduate Study in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education at Rhode Island College. RIC is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2026 semester.
Earn RI Teacher Certification in:
• Early Childhood Education (PK – 3rd Grade)
• Early Childhood Special Education (Birth through 3rd Grade)
• Fully online, asynchronous program (no in-person meetings!)
• Individual coaching meetings with course faculty over Zoom
• Two courses per semester
Earn your certification in just 18 months!
• Funding available through TEACH (as part of RIAEYC)
Must complete separate application
• Practicum and Student Teaching can* occur in your current setting
Must be inclusive/integrated classroom (≥2 students with IEPs)
• Apply through RIC by August 1st for Fall 2026 enrollment
