The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) would like to share a few updates:
- The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for children 6 months and older. Please see the linked one-pager on where children can get vaccinated. Child care providers that want to consider hosting vaccination clinics can email RIDOH’s Office of Immunization at C19VaxClinics@health.ri.gov.
- State-supported testing and vaccination sites have transitioned to traditional networks and settings for providing COVID-19 services as of July 1. There are many places where Rhode Islanders are able to access free COVID-19 testing. Please refer to this one-pager for a description of the various options for COVID-19 testing in Rhode Island. It is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. For more information on COVID-19 testing in Rhode Island, visit covid.ri.gov/testing.
- Testing supplies will be available to child care programs at no cost through the Fall, while supplies last. Supplies can be requested here. These tests can be used for Test to Stay, post exposure, or symptomatic testing.
- RIDOH no longer provides letter request services. If you need documentation to confirm the result of a COVID-19 test, completion of isolation or quarantine, or to be cleared for travel, please contact your primary care physician. If you need a copy of your COVID-19 test result, please visit portal.ri.gov/results or contact the location where you were tested.
