With great appreciation, we share that Brenda Potter, the Director of the Center for Early Learning Professionals, has decided to retire. Brenda helped to establish the Center in 2014, initially providing training and quality improvement support to programs and providers before taking on the role of Director of the Center and the State Pre-K Professional Development and Technical Assistance team. As a tireless champion for children and families throughout her career, Brenda has made lasting, positive improvements to RI’s early childhood and education field. While we will miss her leadership and tremendous sense of humor, we wish her every happiness in her retirement.
We are excited to announce that Kristy Whitcomb has joined the Center as Director. Kristy joins us with a career built on supporting early childhood education, public health, and home visiting.
