Using the ITERS-3 to Improve Classroom and Program Quality – Online
This series provides an overview of the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale-3 – a tool that directors, education coordinators, and teachers can use to assess quality in infant/toddler center-based settings. Participants will learn about items in the tool that focus on teachers’ interactions and use of language throughout the day in learning activities, routines, and transitions. The series will also help participants examine their classrooms’ physical space, schedule, and materials.

Practical Approaches to Behavior for All Children: The Power of Language – Online
The language we use with children is critical to their emotional and academic engagement in school and in everyday life. Participants will explore verbal and nonverbal forms of communication and how both impact the delivery of a message. Common, everyday language used with children and adults will be analyzed and participants will learn ways to shift these language patterns. Additional topics will include assertive voice, redirection, and intention.
This session will be led by Chrissy Johansen, Special Educator and Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor.

Una introducción al autismo y la autorregulación – Serie en línea
Esta nueva serie de tres partes del Autism Project proporcionará una descripción general del desarrollo típico y atípico, centrándose en las características del autismo y apoyando la autorregulación en todos los niños. Este curso brindará a los participantes una comprensión de estas características y les permitirá apoyar mejor a los niños con autismo en sus aulas. Además, se discutirán estrategias para apoyar a una persona antes, durante y después de un período de desregulación.
