  • Description

This two-hour professional development session focuses on effective collaboration and communication among Therapeutic Integration Specialists (TIS), early childhood educators, administrators, clinical supervisors, and families to support children with diverse developmental and behavioral needs in inclusive settings. Participants will explore team roles and responsibilities, family-centered and culturally responsive practices, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

The session emphasizes sharing objective observations, listening to family priorities, addressing disagreements respectfully, and supporting consistent implementation of Therapeutic Integration Plans (TIPs) across adults and environments. Participants will also learn when to seek clinical supervision or refer concerns to an administrator.

Through facilitated discussion and communication scenarios, participants will practice responding to family concerns, navigating differing staff perspectives, and communicating changes in a child’s progress while remaining within their professional role. Participants will leave with practical strategies for strengthening family partnerships and coordinating supports that reflect each child’s strengths, needs, and established goals.
