This two-part series will provide administrators and teachers with a review of the key components of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-3) tool. Participants will refresh their understanding of key concepts, terms, and definitions in the tool, discuss strategies to prepare for a BrightStars ECERS assessment within their program, and ways to use the tool for program self-assessment and continuous quality improvement.
Participants who complete the session will:
- gain increased knowledge of key terms and definitions within the tool
- review strategies for using the tool for program self-assessment
- gain knowledge of ways to prepare staff for an ECERS-3 assessment
Participants can earn up to 5 PD hours by attending the two facilitated in-person sessions and completing one online assignment.
