It All Begins with Play
All children need to play, and even more than ever! Come learn about the impact that play has on children’s physical and emotional development in this 4-part series. Content will explore the benefits of play for all children including those with neurodevelopmental disabilities, on the Autism Spectrum, and impacted by trauma and chronic stress.
Reflective Practice: Introduction to Implicit Bias in the EC Classroom
This overview session will define Implicit Bias and examine why it matters in our early childhood classrooms. Participants will be introduced to the concept of implicit bias and begin to reflect on how it is manifested in our early childhood classrooms and programs.
Effective Classroom Practices for the First Six Weeks of School – In Person
This series will support preschool teachers as they plan for the first six weeks of the school year. Participants will learn a variety of strategies for supporting students’ social-emotional development as they acclimate to their new learning environment.
Out of School Time Basics- Starting the School Year Right!
This 2-part training will explore the basics of setting up and running a quality School-Age program. Whether you are new to School-Age programming, or a seasoned staff in need of new ideas this series will help improve essential policies and procedures, program structures and schedules, and curriculum that will keep children engaged and learning.
Sessions for Administrators
An ITERS-3/ECERS-3 Refresher for Administrators
This 2-part online series will provide an overview of the important terms and components of the ITERS-3 or ECERS-3. This series is meant to provide program administrators with a refresher on the tool, how to best use it for program improvement, and prepare for a high-stakes ERS observation.
Creating Family and Employee Handbook – Online Session
Each of these sessions will guide administrators of center-based programs through the required components of family and employee handbooks. Participants will have the opportunity to work on the creation and revision of their program handbooks.

La serie ofrece una visión general de varias de las regulaciones de DHS relacionadas al cuidado y la educación infantil ofrecida dentro del cuidado infantil familiar. Pequeños Matemáticos: Usando Juegos Matemáticos para Desarrollar la Mentalidad y la Motivación – Serie en línea
Esta serie mejorará la capacidad de los proveedores con niños de edad preescolar para facilitar y desarrollar el conocimiento matemático y el pensamiento de los niños utilizando juegos matemáticos y la participación familiar. Cada sesión se centrará en el uso de juegos de matemáticas divertidos y atractivos que destacan varios conceptos matemáticos clave.
Creando un Manual Familiar para Proveedores de Cuidado Infantil Familiar – En línea
Esta sesión cubre las Regulaciones de Licencias de Cuidado Infantil Familiar actualizadas que requieren que los proveedores de cuidado infantil familiar proporcionen a las familias un manual familiar. Aprenderá los componentes de un manual familiar y revisará los formularios y la documentación que las familias deben completar para inscribir a su hijo en el cuidado infantil familiar.
