Dear Rhode Island Child Care Community:
As many of you may have seen the recent press release by DHS, we are excited to share that the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)’s income threshold for families has increased from 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) to 261% FPL!
This means that many more families may now be eligible for CCAP even if they were denied in the past for being over income.
With this increase, families can currently earn up to the following annually:
Households of one parent and one child: $55,202
Household of 3: $69,557
Household of 4: $83,912

Please help us spread this good news by sharing the flyer found on the DHS website under CCAP Handbook and Provider Resources with families by posting in your centers/offices as well as distributing directly to families. Families are encouraged to apply or reapply with this new change in place.
