Incredible Beginnings® is part of the Incredible Years® (IY) series targeted for early care and education providers of children ages 1-5. The focus of the program is on strengthening teachers’ classroom management strategies, and promoting children’s prosocial behavior, school readiness, and reducing children’s classroom aggression and noncooperation with peers and teachers. Additionally, the program helps teachers work with parents to support their school involvement and promote consistency between home and school.

Participants who complete this series will be able to:

  • implement positive classroom management strategies that promote cooperation, engagement, and prosocial behavior
  • use proactive strategies to prevent and respond effectively to challenging behaviors in young children
  • strengthen partnerships with families to support children’s learning and consistency between home and school

Participants will receive a textbook and can earn up to 36 PD hours by attending 12 facilitated online sessions. This series will also include assignments.

This training is made possible through a grant from the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals of Rhode Island.
