Beyond the Checklist: Pedagogical Leadership for Education Coordinators - Online Series

Pedagogical Leadership / Program Directors, Education Coordinators, and Education Supervisors
English
  • Description

This three-part professional development series is designed to support Education Coordinators in strengthening their role as pedagogical leaders.

Throughout the series, participants will be encouraged to expand their thinking, examine leadership from new perspectives, and collaborate with others through reflective conversations, creative expression, and engaging, hands-on activities. Participants will have opportunities to reflect on their current leadership strengths, consider areas for continued growth, and develop practical strategies that can be applied within their own programs.

By learning with and from one another, Education Coordinators will deepen their understanding of how thoughtful, intentional leadership can strengthen educators, improve program quality, and positively influence the experiences of children and families.

Upon completing this series, participants should be able to:

  • Analyze the principles of pedagogical leadership and their role in fostering collaborative, reflective, and high-quality learning environments.
  • Apply coaching and reflective leadership practices that build educator capacity, strengthen professional relationships, and support continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop a personalized leadership plan that identifies strategies to expand teacher leadership, encourage collaboration, and sustain meaningful change within their program.

Participants can receive up to 10 PD hours by attending three facilitated online sessions and completing three assignments.
