Infants and toddlers experience big emotions, and learning to understand and express those feelings is a key part of early development. This engaging virtual series equips childcare providers with the tools to support emotional growth in young children. Participants will explore the foundations of emotional literacy, discover practical strategies for fostering emotion regulation, and learn how to create nurturing, responsive environments that support each child’s emotional well-being.
Upon completion of the series, participants will:
- describe emotional literacy in infants and toddlers and how it develops in the context of relationships
- practice strategies for designing environments, routines, and interactions that foster emotional literacy in infants and toddlers
- summarize ways to collaborate with families to support emotional literacy at home
Participants can earn up to 10 PD hours by completing three facilitated online sessions and three intersession assignments.
