Exploring Multisensory Practices for Vocabulary Development – Online Series

This new three-session series introduces research-based practices that support the learning and development of vocabulary. Session topics will focus on building children’s oral language and conversational skills, and multisensory teaching strategies for building a robust vocabulary.

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the impact of adult-child interactions on oral language development
  • Use presence and playfulness to increase engagement in conversation with children
  • Implement multisensory approaches to teach vocabulary
  • Use strategies to support children’s expressive language and conversational speech

Participants can earn up to 10 PD hours by attending three online sessions and completing three intersession assignments.
