Building Foundations: Developing a Toddler Study-Based Curriculum – Online Series

This new series is designed to support teachers with the tools and strategies needed to create dynamic, study-based curricula tailored specifically for toddlers. Through a blend of hands-on activities and discussions, participants will learn the eight steps to planning engaging and developmentally appropriate study topics that spark exploration and discovery.  By the end of the series, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to implement a study-based curriculum that nurtures toddlers’ natural desire to explore the world, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify and describe the 8 essential steps of curriculum planning for toddlers, including how each step supports toddler development and learning
  • Apply at least 3 creative strategies for designing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to the interests and needs of toddlers
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and implement a complete curriculum study for toddlers by designing one study that incorporates all eight steps of the curriculum planning process

Participants can earn up to 10 PD hours by attending three online sessions and completing three intersession assignments.
