Family Child Care Administrators and Educators / Knowledge, Application, and Integration of Academic Content in the Early Childhood Curriculum / Preschool and Pre-K Educators
English
  • Description

This 4-session series, facilitated by Cheryl Cotter and Cristen Sassi, will provide participants with a foundational understanding of how to identify individual differences within their students. When the focus is on the underlying challenges children face, we can develop a deeper understanding of their learning needs. As a result, we can provide targeted and tailored support to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and support social-emotional skill acquisition. Participants will leave this series with a set of structured tools to help them map out hidden challenges, link challenges to behaviors, and support students accordingly. One session will be dedicated to understanding and working with children who exhibit big emotional upset through defiant and aggressive behaviors.

Participants can earn up to 12 PD hours by attending four online sessions and completing four assignments.
