This two-part series will provide school-age educators with an overview of the components of the School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale (SACERS-U) tool. Participants will build their understanding of key concepts, terms, and definitions in the tool, discuss strategies to prepare for a BrightStars SACERS assessment within their program, and ways to use the tool for program self-assessment and continuous quality improvement.
Participants who complete the series will:
- define key terms and definitions within the tool
- implement strategies for using the tool for program self-assessment
- describe ways to prepare staff for a SACERS assessment
Participants can earn up to 5 PD hours by attending the two facilitated online sessions and completing one online assignment.
