RIDE Pre-K Overview

The Center is the professional development and technical assistance hub for the Rhode Island Department of Education’s (RIDE) state-funded RI Pre-K programs. In collaboration with RIDE, we help programs plan and implement high-quality services that lead to improved outcomes for children and their families. We offer a wide range of services to RI Pre-K program and classroom staff, including on-site and virtual consultation, professional development, and implementation support for high-quality classroom practices.

The Center currently supports 150 RIDE-funded classrooms across 20 Rhode Island communities, including 22 new classrooms that were awarded as part of this year’s RI Pre-K expansion grant. Additionally, we provide pre-application training and technical assistance for program staff who interested in becoming RI Pre-K grantees in the future.
