This 2-part training will explore the basics of setting up and running a summer curriculum for School-Age programs. Whether you are new to summer programming, or a seasoned staff in need of a few reminders, and new ideas. The first session will look at the importance of summer programming, essential policies, and procedures that programs should follow and why. In addition, the content will address how to navigate the licensing regulations and safety. Session two will highlight group management strategies, how to implement youth choice, program structure, and curriculum ideas that will keep the “summer fun” while supporting learning. There will be lots of opportunities to share ideas and ask questions!
