Updated DHS Guidelines for Child Care  (Updated 4/1/2021) (PDF)

  • As of May 1, 2021, licensed child care programs will be allowed to increase their COVID-19 school-age capacity to serve a stable groups of 26 children, in adherence to the required staff/child ratios and preCOVID licensed capacity, while still maintaining compliance with all other COVID-19 Child Care Licensing Regulations.
  • Please note, as of May 1, 2021, there are no longer COVID-19 group size modifications for classrooms. You are, as always, required to still adhere to the group size and staff/child ratio as outlined in the DHS Child Care Regulations and your DHS Child Care License. If you intend to expand group sizes in your school-age classroom, you do not need to submit a revised COVID-19 Control Plan. As a reminder, all school-age children and staff should be masked while present in DHS-licensed child care centers.

Nuevas Pautas de DHS para el Cuidado Infantil  (PDF) (Actualizado 4/1/2021)

  • Al primero de mayo del, 2021, los programas de cuidado infantil con  licencia tendrán permitido incrementar su capacidad COVID-19 de niños en edad escolar para servir a grupos estables de 26 niños, en cumplimiento de las proporciones personal/niños y la capacidad con  licencia Pre-COVID, mientras se mantiene el cumplimiento de todas las demás regulaciones COVID para el Cuidado Infantil con licencia.
  • Por favor tenga en cuenta que al primero de mayo del 2021, no hay modificaciones en el tamaño de grupos COVID-19 para los salones de clase. Como siempre, usted debe cumplir con el tamaño del grupo y la
    proporción de personal/niños como se describe en las Regulaciones de Cuidado Infantil del DHS y su Licencia de cuidado infantil del DHS. Si tiene la intención de expandir el tamaño de los grupos en su salón
    de clases para niños en edad escolar, no necesita enviar un Plan de control COVID-19 revisado. Como recordatorio, todos los niños en edad escolar y el personal deben usar mascarilla mientras se encuentren
    en los centros de cuidado infantil con licencia del DHS.
