Are you an early learning educator looking to move ahead in your career?
Do you wish to build your skills and knowledge?
Rhode Island has developed Workforce Knowledge and Competency (WKC) Frameworks for family child care educators, early childhood administrators and education coordinators, early childhood teachers and early intervention and special educators, and early childhood teacher assistants. These WKCs articulate the skills and knowledge that early learning educators need to support young children’s healthy development and learning. They also present career pathways that specify the education, experience, professional development, and other activities required to move ahead in each career.
To help you better understand the WKC Frameworks, the Center has created a set of three self-paced online modules that explain how the frameworks are organized and how you can use them to advance your career.
- Module 1: Introduction
- Module 2: Advance Your Career
- Module 3: Create Your Individual Professional Development Plan
