The Center for Early Learning Professionals is pleased to announce its professional development (PD) opportunities for spring 2014.
All of the PD offered by the Center aligns with the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards as well as the state’s new Workforce Knowledge and Competency Frameworks.
The spring 2014 offerings are designed for center directors, education coordinators, education supervisors, preschool teachers, infant-toddler teachers, and family child care providers.
Topics include:
- Using Environment Rating Scales to improve program quality
- Developing a responsive curriculum for infants and toddlers
- Effective interaction strategies for preschool teachers
- Care and development of young children in home care settings
Center PD opportunities are free and open to early learning professionals in Rhode Island. Priority will be given to staff from programs that have a BrightStars rating or are in the process of applying for one.
