Earn up to 20 professional development (PD) hours by participating in one of our multi-session series. Offerings are available for program administrators, classroom teachers, and family child care providers. Topics include creating strong management systems, understanding and responding to challenging behaviors, and exploring social studies through project-based learning. We’re also offering a new five-session series for center administrators on becoming a pedagogical leader.
Additionally, the Center is excited to be offering our first series for bilingual (Spanish/English) providers. The series will explore planning and implementing curriculum in a multi-age setting. The sessions will be facilitated by a bilingual instructor, and materials will be available in both languages. Participants can choose to complete written assignments in the language of their choice.
Classes run from mid-September through December. All Center PD is aligned with the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) as well as the state’s Workforce Knowledge and Competency Frameworks.
