In this two-session series, preschool teachers and teacher assistants will learn strategies to help children develop the skills needed to pause and self-regulate.  Participants will explore the underlying concepts of self-regulation and be introduced to five concrete steps that can be used to regulate themselves first before supporting children through the self-regulation process.

Upon completing this series, participants will:

  • Explain the five steps to self-regulation
  • Recognize how to use the steps within themselves
  • Demonstrate ways to support self-regulation within children

This series will provide 6 hours of PD consisting of two in-person sessions and two assignments.
