The course will provide educators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively understand, support, and nurture the healthy development of preschool children’s emotions and self-regulation skills.

Series Objectives:

  • define emotional regulation and learn universal classroom strategies for supporting the development of emotional regulation in preschool children.
  • understand the importance of adult regulation and the role it plays in supporting children’s emotional development
  • explore strategies for incorporating appropriate children’s literature for teaching children about emotions
  • identify strategies for supporting families in strengthening their child’s emotional regulation skills at home

Participants can earn up to 10 PD hours by attending 3 in-person online sessions and completing 3 intersession assignments.
