Promoting Teachers’ Professional Growth: The Role of the Education Coordinator – Online Series

up to 10.5 PD hours English Program Directors, Education Coordinators, and Education Supervisors

This professional development series explores the role of the education coordinator as supervisor, coach, and education leader. This series will focus on developing a supervision plan for individual staff members, creating Individual Professional Development Plans to promote staff growth and development, and creating a positive, professional work environment for all.

Participants who complete the series will:

  • understand the role of the education coordinator
  • gain knowledge of relationship-based supervision
  • learn strategies for supporting teachers to plan and implement high-quality curriculum
  • build a strong sense of community and professionalism among staff members

Administrators can earn up to 10.5 PD hours by attending three facilitated online sessions and completing three assignments.

Please Note: This series has been approved by RIDE to serve as a RIELDS Next Steps class.

Additionally, hours in this series can be applied toward meeting the RIDE CECE Approval Standard 4.1 requirement that education coordinators have documented hours of professional development in mentoring, supervision, and leadership.
