Developing respectful, reciprocal, and responsive relationships with families is essential for engaging them in their children’s education. Research proves that strong partnerships between families and educators are key factors contributing to successful child outcomes. In this series, we will explore strategies for building strong relationships with families and engaging them in their children’s development and learning.
Participants who complete the series will:
- gain an understanding of the role culture plays in creating respectful relationships with families
- learn effective communication strategies for partnering with families
- strengthen family engagement opportunities within their program
Participants can earn up to 9 PD hours by attending the three facilitated online sessions and completing three online assignments.
