Welcome to the Curriculum Modifications Modules professional development series! This online series was created by the Center for Early Learning Professionals using materials developed by the National Center on Quality Teaching and Learning. Each module describes strategies that early childhood educators can use to modify their learning environment and interactions to meet the varying needs of children in their classroom. While all early learning professionals can benefit from this series, the modules are best suited for center-based teachers and teacher assistants. On this webpage, you can access and view a brief introduction video and five in-depth Curriculum Modifications Modules. Please print the activity handouts before viewing each module, and complete the activities as instructed. You can earn a total of 5 PD hours by viewing all five modules, completing the module activities, and submitting responses to an online survey following Module 5. Please be sure to answer each question completely and thoroughly, as PD hours will be awarded accordingly. If questions are not answered thoroughly, PD hours will not be awarded for that module. If you have difficulty downloading and opening any of the handouts below, be sure to install the free Adobe Reader. If you have questions about the modules or anything on this webpage, please contact us 401-736-9020.
