This series will support teachers in creating high-quality learning experiences for young toddlers and two-year-olds. Sessions will focus on evidence-based practices that highlight the use of interactions, materials, and play to extend learning for this age group in a developmentally appropriate way.
Participants who complete the series will:
- understand the role of interactions, play, and materials in developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers
- understand how to meet the unique learning needs of toddlers in an early care and education setting
- practice planning and implementing experiences that encourage problem solving, extend learning, and follow the child’s lead
Participants can earn up to 9 PD hours by attending three facilitated online sessions and completing three online assignments.
Please Note: This series has been approved by RIDE to serve as a RIELDS Next Steps class.
