Beyond Colors, Shapes, and Numbers: Planning and Implementing Appropriate Curriculum for Toddlers – Online Series

up to 9 PD hours English Family Child Care Administrators and Educators, Infant-Toddler Educators

This series will support teachers in creating high-quality learning experiences for young toddlers and two-year-olds. Sessions will focus on evidence-based practices that highlight the use of interactions, materials, and play to extend learning for this age group in a developmentally appropriate way.

Participants who complete the series will:

  • understand the role of interactions, play, and materials in developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers
  • understand how to meet the unique learning needs of toddlers in an early care and education setting
  • practice planning and implementing experiences that encourage problem solving, extend learning, and follow the child’s lead

Participants can earn up to 9 PD hours by attending three facilitated online sessions and completing three online assignments.
