The Center for Early Learning Professionals is pleased to announce the availability of $50,000 in Early Education Technology Grants to help eligible early childhood programs in Rhode Island buy technology that will allow them to access and participate in the state’s early childhood online systems, including the Early Care and Education Data System (ECEDS) and the Department of Human Services’ new eligibility system.
Each program or family child care provider can request up to $1,000 to support technology purchases.
To be eligible for an Early Education Technology Grant, programs and providers must:
- Not have computer access to participate in the state’s early childhood online systems
- Be in good standing with DCYF licensing
- Be participating in BrightStars
Grant applications are due on Monday, August 1, at 4 pm. The Center is hosting three Grant Application Information Sessions, where interested program leaders can learn how the grant process will work, how to complete the application, and the types of technology that can be requested.
